I need all the help I can get when it comes to my dry skin! Especially when I use makeup, because I just don’t like it when I’m wearing foundation and my skin just starts peeling. Not only primers are a lifesaver, but fixing mist too! How did I like this one by Pixi?
• Prolongs makeup wear and keeps it from moving, melting, and settling into fine lines or pores
• The rose water and green tea infused formula comforts, protects and balances skin for a fresh face
• Extends and refreshes makeup, hydrates and balances
• Sets makeup adds a soft-focus finish – Pixi Beauty website
Okay, so let’s break it down per promise!
It does prolong the wear of my makeup, so that one is true! But, it does still settle into my fine lines, not too bad, but it still does.
The mist is quite nice, it smells a bit flowery, but it doesn’t dry out my skin, and does hydrate it a little bit. My makeup looks a lot nicer when I use this spray on top of it. I do like this makeup fixing spray, because it does do most of the things it promises!
This nozzle is the absolute bloody worst I have ever gosh darn tried. It doesn’t spray into a fine mist, but it just squirts into one place, which makes it quite difficult to spray your entire face evenly. Honest to goodness, how this EVER got approved by a makeup artist is beyond me. It makes me so angry with how bad it is! Just for this I just want to say: DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT. Okay the product itself is great, yes, but if you can’t really apply it properly, how are you going to use it? It just frustrates me to no end that a makeup artist could do this. Argh!
I really won’t repurchase this, unless they improve that nozzle, no matter how great the product itself is. I have a different spray from Pixi as well, the sunscreen one, and the nozzle is exactly the same. It just squirts into one spot, instead of a fine mist. Just, do yourself a favor, get something else, like MAC Fix+, it’s about the same price, but at least it has a better nozzle.
