Review: Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo and Conditioner

My hair is important to me. I take really good care of it, to the point I always get compliments when I go to the hairdressers! I’ve been curious about the Briogeo shampoos and conditioners. My hair isn’t dry, except for the ends, it’s quite healthy, but I’ve always had scalp issues and really greasy hair. Is this combo as amazing as other people let me believe?

A nutrient rich, green juice inspired shampoo and conditioner duo that will quench parched strands, add shine and luster and help deliver vital daily nourishment to the hair and scalp.

The green-juice inspired shampoo is packed with matcha and apple to cleanse and help nourish hair without stripping it of moisture. The conditioner is an infusion of kale and apple to nourish and hydrate the scalp and hair. By harnessing the power of fruit and vegetable fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, this regimen will support the vibrancy of hair and is the perfect compliment to your wellness routine. – Briogeo website

I was really intrigued by the fact that this is a very natural product. I’ve been trying to change up little things in my life to more natural and eco-friendly products. I liked the fact that it’s 98% natural! That’s a huge plus for me.

Now, this is a very interesting combo. It is very sweetly scented, which I don’t like very much, but if you are into sweet smelling apples, you’ll love it! The shampoo lathers really nicely and the scent doesn’t linger too badly once you wash it out.

The conditioner is very thick, it really has a smoothie consistency, but I really like it! Again, it’s very heavily scented, but it doesn’t linger too badly once washed out.

However, my hair is way too healthy to be using it! It was fine when my hair was still long, but now that I’ve cut it short, my hair gets really gross, stringy and greasy because of this combo. I use it whenever I dye my hair, and it makes my hair feel really nice and soft.

So, do I recommend it? Yes and no. Just be sure your hair is really, really dry! Otherwise it’ll work too well and it will make your hair feel icky. I do like using it, my eczema doesn’t flare up with it and my scalp feels nice, but it’s just that it makes my hair feel gross when it’s healthy!
