Review: Holika Holika All Kill Oil to Foam Moisture Cleansing Oil

My skin is horrible. I’m not even going to be fake positive about it. I’ve got extremely dry skin (to the point it will bleed in winter), it’s sensitive-ish, I’ve got acne AND acne rosacea. It’s one big party, honestly. I was looking for a new face wash and decided to get this one by Holika Holika, as Korean skincare usually works amazing on me. Do I like this one?

Holika Holika All Kill Cleansing Oil to Foam Moisture is the ideal cleanser for dry and sensitive skin. In addition to the main components of this oil-foam, it also contains hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed collagen, which intensely moisturize even the deepest layers of the dermis and give the skin elasticity and firmnes. – Little Wonderland website

The first thing I’m going to mention about this cleanser is its scent: I love it. It’s really fresh, clinical (but in a good way???) and it just feels like you are doing something good for your skin when you use this. It’s really odd, but I LOVE the scent, it makes using it a lot better! I hate cleansing my face, as it usually hurts (because my skin is so dry) so if I’m excited to use it, I’ll take it, haha!

It’s an amazing cleanser, honestly. When applied it’s more of a gel texture, really thick but spreads easily. It lifts away makeup amazingly and really quickly! It even takes away my waterproof mascara, which is usually the thing that will stay there for 2 to 3 weeks before it’s gone. When I apply a little water to it, it lifts away even more, but it doesn’t really get foamy, so don’t expect it to be like a foam cleanser because that won’t happen. It cleanses my skin so well, I’m honestly impressed. I don’t even need to use miscelar water afterwards, which is always a plus.

It doesn’t strip my skin, but it isn’t amazingly moisturizing, so don’t expect miracles.

All in all, I’m highly impressed by this cleanser and I’m really glad I tried it out! This is by far the best cleanser I’ve used in years, if not ever. I highly recommend it! And if you are worried about this being too moisturizing or if you have acne prone skin, they also have one for oily skin! 😉

  1. I’ve only ever used one product from Holika Holika: I think it was a sheet mask that they were handing out for free in a shopping/tourist district in Seoul. It wasn’t bad, but the brand along with Tony Moly & Missha have become unpopular in Korea over the last 5 or so years because their products don’t standout as much anymore. Anyway, this cleansing oil seems worth a little test. I think the popularity of the brand overseas has encouraged them to finally improve their range of products.

Looking forward to your next post ~

    1. I’ve noticed that as well! Especially with Tony Moly, it used to be huge everywhere and now everyone has seen their cute packaging and is just ‘meh’ about it. I hope you’ll find it as nice as I did, and thank you so much! ♥
