It’s November. I don’t know how it happened, but I just realised there’s only a few weeks left to read! Well, for this year at least. There are some books I really want to finish before the end of the year, and here’s my list!
Poirot series
I only have THREE (3!!!!) books left until I finished all of Poirot. All of them. All 30+ books. I’m so close and I have a few weeks left to finish them all. I’m not ready to read the last one. Not ready at all. I’m going to cry. But I really want to finish them!
What Katy Did series
I got the What Katy Did series in a boxset recently, and I really enjoyed the first one. As I have the other two as well, and they are really short books, I really want to finish them to add to my Children’s Classics shelf (yes, I have a whole shelf dedicated to them!) and they are a lot of fun. A bit Anne of Green Gables but for a younger audience. Let’s see if I can finish them!
Fashion Victims by Allison Matthews David
This is SUCH an interesting book. It shows the history of fashion and what kind of torment people went through to just make clothing. Not just that, but it also shows what a lot of women went through just in the name of fashion. I wanted this book for YEARS, and finally got it for my birthday this year, but it’s such an awkward size, it’s too big to take anywhere so I’ve been really slow reading this one. Incredibly interesting, uses amazing illustrations and it’s just perfect. I really want to finish it, I just need to find the perfect way to read it!
Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco
Ok, I’m not going to lie, the titles of this series are horrible. They are so crappy and sound like a B series, you know what I mean? But I LOVED Stalking Jack the Ripper and I couldn’t wait to read HUnting Prince Dracula, and I got it from my boyfriend, but I still haven’t read it!! Not sure why, as I’m still really excited, but it’s probably the size that daunts me, haha. I really want to get to it, and considering I’m going to work a lot more (yay retail!) I should be able to finish this one easily on my commute to work!
What are some of the books you want to finish before the year ends?
