Review: Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater

I swear this bottle isn’t empty! I just used it quite a lot before I took photo’s of it, oops.  Occupational hazard? I was a big fan of the tiny sample I got from the Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea spray, so I was curious to try a different one!

Revitalize skin with dewy radiance. Whether spritzed for a hydrating boost or mid-day pick-me-up, our cult-favorite facial spray helps revive dehydrated skin anytime, anywhere. It’s a rejuvenating mist infused with herbal and botanical extracts (like Aloe Vera, Gardenia, Rose, Bladderwrack and Thyme) that help soothe and re-energize skin—giving it a healthy, radiant glow. – Mario Badescu website

The reason I got this one is because of it’s promise of being great for dry skin. Ok, dehydrated skin, but it looked promising ok. It smells like roses, but not fake roses, real rose, and the scent is quite faint. The first time I tried it I got really excited because this is definitely something for my boyfriend’s mum, because she ADORES roses.

I really love using this product when I’m doing my makeup, as my skin is extremely dry and not even moisturizer and primer can save me, I like to use facial sprays to tone down the dryness on my face. I use it when I just finished doing my foundation, and I spray this all over before I use my setting spray. It really does help quite a lot, it relieves me of a lot of dryness and makes my makeup look a lot better.
The mist is really fine and applies beautifully. I can feel it work, which is great! It feels really soothing on the skin, and it does relieve me of some of my dryness. It doesn’t make my skin more dewy, nor does it give me a glow, but that might be because of how extremely dry my skin is.

Does it deliver on it’s promises? Yes and no. It does sooth my skin, but it doesn’t give me said glow. Do I recommend it though? I totally do! This is great in your makeup kit, especially if you deal with a lot of people who have dry skin, or if you have dry skin. It may be more expensive, but if you can actually feel it work, it must be good! I’m a huge fan of the Evian Water Spray, but I prefer this one! Have you tried any of the Mario Badescu facial sprays?
