Review: Antipodes Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator

So, I’ve been on an Antipodes kick lately, after trying the Hallelujah Cleanser and the Divine Face Oil , I decided to try out their scrub as well!

For a fresh complexion that feels reborn, avocado oil and jojoba beads marry to lift away lifeless skin. Healing marigold bloom oil works to nurture and repair. Carrot seed extract helps clear and revitalise your skin’s surface.

Elements of Beauty: Avocado oil * Marigold bloom * Jojoba oil

Pure Plant Fragrances: Cedarwood & sweet orange- the Antipodes website

The first thing I’m going to mention is the scent. Boy, does it smell! If you like really, really sweet orange candies, this is the perfect scrub for you, look no further! But I absolutely hate it. I love the scent of fresh oranges, but this smells like candy so badly it gives me a slight headache when I use it. If you are sensitive to scents; DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Honestly, I’m not easily bothered by scents, but even this was too much for me.

Ok, with that said, I’ll talk about the actual performance of the product. I do actually like the scrub. It’s a very gentle scrub, and the less product you use, the more scrubbing happens. It leaves my skin feeling really nice and soft, and it does help with some of the skin issues I have currently. I don’t really think this is a miracle product, but it does make my dry skin happy. I can use it every day without it stripping my skin, which is always a bonus when your skin is as dry as mine. I don’t think it “heals” my skin in any way, but it doesn’t break me out, so that’s also a plus.

I do really like this scrub, but I’m not really sure if I would repurchase because of the scent. If you do really like sweet orange scents, or can’t smell anything, I would really recommend it! Otherwise, try it out first before you buy it.
