Review: 1940’s Hairstyles by Daniela Turudich

I can’t start writing again, without starting to review a vintage-styled book! I’m mostly a 50s kind of gal, but lately I’ve been enjoying the 1940s style more, so I wanted to read a book about hairstyles, as the 1940s have some beautiful hairstyles for the working girl, and as I am a new working girl, I needed some style inspiration.

This book however, wasn’t the best. As you guys know, I’ve got quite the collection of mid-century fashion books, and this one wasn’t the best. The instructions were quite hard, not clear, and the thing that annoyed me the most, was that there were TOO many spelling errors. I mean, I don’t claim to be perfect in my English, but if you publish a book, you kind of expect there to be no spelling mistakes, or grammatical errors.

This book was really well researched though, and I’m glad I can add this to my collection, but if you are looking for a book that explains things to you clearly, I’d recommend the Style Me Vintage series, and especially the 1940s book.
